Perbandingan Game-Based Learning dan Direct Instruction terhadap Pemahaman Taktis, Motivasi Berprestasi, dan Keterampilan Bermain Mahasiswa PJKR pada Olahraga Permainan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektivitas Game-Based Learning (GBL) dan Direct Instruction (DI) terhadap pemahaman taktis, motivasi berprestasi, dan keterampilan bermain mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani Kesehatan dan Rekreasi (PJKR) pada mata kuliah olahraga permainan. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Sebanyak 60 mahasiswa PJKR dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok GBL (n=30) dan kelompok DI (n=30). Intervensi dilaksanakan selama 16 pertemuan. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) untuk keterampilan bermain, Tactical Knowledge Test (TKT) untuk pemahaman taktis, dan skala motivasi berprestasi yang telah tervalidasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan MANOVA dan uji independent samples t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok GBL dan DI pada ketiga variabel dependen (p < 0,05). Kelompok GBL memperoleh skor lebih tinggi secara signifikan pada pemahaman taktis dan motivasi berprestasi, sedangkan kelompok DI menunjukkan keunggulan pada keterampilan teknis dasar. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa pendekatan GBL lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan pemahaman taktis dan motivasi intrinsik mahasiswa, sementara DI tetap relevan untuk penguasaan keterampilan teknis.
